Welcome to my website.  

I’m a freelance indexer and an accredited member
of the Society of Indexers. I was awarded the status
of Advanced Professional Member in 2012.  

I have over 14 years full time indexing experience
and to date have produced nearly 400 indexes
for publishers and editors across a range of subjects. For a full list of my

The areas I have significant experience in indexing include: autobiography/biography, business, education, environment, health/healthcare, history, leadership & management, politics, social policy, social work and sport. A more detailed list can be found on the Subjects page. However, this is not an exhaustive list and I can produce indexes for a general readership in all other areas.  

Between 2011 and 2105 I also provided indexes for the Society of Indexer’s quarterly newsletter SIdelights. This is an annual, cumulative index running to nearly 70 pages and can be viewed under ‘Journals’ on the Books indexed page.     

The value of a professional index to a book cannot be overstated. So I take great pride and care with every commission, paying careful attention to the detail of the book. All indexes are thoughtfully structured so that readers will quickly and efficiently find the required information whilst ensuring the author’s intent and content are accurately reflected.
